Don’t you just love a little dose of inspiration in the morning?
While sipping on my cup of joe and catching up on the latest New York City news, I discovered that the Daphne Guinness Exhibition at The Museum at FIT closes tomorrow.
I can’t think of a more inspiring place to spend a Saturday afternoon than The Most Fashionable Museum in New York City. Cruise on over to Seventh Avenue at 27th Street. Admission is free and open to the public. Tonight the museum is open until 8 pm and Saturday hours are 10 am-5 pm.

What is more inspiring than nature itself?
Around every New York street corner, I see vibrant shades of orange right now. It’s the color of autumn, windswept leaves of fall covering the grey ground with gold. And the amazing pumpkin and butternut squash soups on the restaurant specials boards!
I love working with “burnt orange” diamonds… they are untreated, natural and romantic.
Natural orange diamonds are among the rarest diamonds in the world. The most famous is known as the Pumpkin Diamond, which was worn by Halle Berry to the 2002 Oscars where she won the Academy Award for Best Actress for her role in Monster’s Ball, and was displayed as part of the Smithsonian’s “The Splendor of Diamonds” exhibit.
